BEAUTY: CHANEL MATTE LUMIERE VS REVLON COLOURSTAY

Foundation; the god of all make-up, the saviour of all bases, the secret to camouflaging a multitude of sins.

I think it is fair to say that all women rely on this faithful product for much of their life and finding one that is perfect for your lifestyle and skin type is of paramount importance.

For a LONG time my holy grail was Chanel's Matte Lumiere, which is fantastic. It blends well, lasts on the skin, matched my skin perfectly and smelt wonderful. However I did find one drawback. The price... £33. Now I know that thirty-three squidders is not that much money for some, but if I am honest, IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

And so, upon this realisation I set out on my gruelling adventure to find a substitute.

Throughout my journey I tried and tested many other foundations . But sadly none that compared so well to my beloved Chanel. UNTIL.... 'Ciao Bella', Hello REVLON Colourstay! Priced at just thirteen pounds here in the UK, you can see why I switched.

The REVLON foundation did everything just as well as the Chanel - possibly even better -  although it does not smell as quite as nice. Though if your clever you could always mix in your signature perfume.

Do note that the REVLON foundation has two different formulations for two skin types. Combination and Dry. I actually have quite dry skin but as I wanted a matte finish I went for the Combination, which was perfect and not drying on my already dry skin.

Hope this was helpful, any questions just comment.

Jubilee Time

A very fun Jubilee fashion film by The Rodnik Band, do watch. It's very good. Think Monty Python animation.
